Enjoying The Beautiful Sunrise at Bromo, East Java, Indonesia.

Enjoying the beautiful sunrise at Bromo East Java, Indonesia. Enjoy the dawn of time to enjoy the sunrise. Enjoying an amazing scenery when the sun begins to shine the world

The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the name of Hindu creator God. Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif in East Java Indonesia. Its hight is about 2,329 m, it is not the highest peak of the massif, but Mount Bromo is the most well known and most visited tourists attraction in East Java. This volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. To enter the park an official IDR 50,000 or about US$ 5.55 permit must be purchased at one of the four entrance gates. The coordinate of Mount Bromo is -7.947096° latitude and 112.956654° longitude.

The best views from Mount Bromo is to see sand sea in the below and to see volcanoes and surround at sunrise. The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached by foot in about 2 h. Mount Bromo stands in the middle of a vast plain called the sea of sand (Javanese: segara wedi or Indonesian: lautan pasir). The typical way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 min, but it is also possible to ride a 4 Wheel Drive (jeep), which includes a stop at viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan (2,770 m).
Visitors who want to see the sunrise, usually come to this area since early morning. Visitors must climb Mount Pananjakan which is the highest mountain in the region. To reach the foot of Mount Pananjakan, you have to go through the sea of sand that can make you get lost. We suggest for you who do not know this area to rent a jeep and its driver.

Ambient temperature here is about 10°C but sometimes down to 0°C in early morning before sunrise. Visitor should prepare for cool cloth, hat, glove, sock, scarf. If you do not bring these equipments, do not worry, because you can buy from the street vendors who offering the wares. If we get above, there are several cafes serving coffee or tea and a fire to warm the body while waiting for the sunrise time.

Watching the sunrise is an interesting event. But sometimes it is unlucky, because if the sky is cloudy, the appearance of the sun is not clearly seen. However, when the sky is clear, you can see the roundness of the sun first of all only a small, slowly enlarge and eventually form a full circle and give light so that we can see the views of the mountains in this area, including Mount Bromo, Mount Batok and Mount Semeru (the highest mountain in Java).

After watching the sunrise in the Mount Pananjakan, you can go down and then go up to Mount Bromo. Sunlight make you see the scenery around it. You will see that you have passed the sea of sand which covers 10 km², where arid area is filled with sand and just a little overgrown dry grass.

To reach the foot of Mount Bromo, you can not use the vehicle. Instead, you must rent a horse at a price of IDR 100.000 (about US$ 11.00) or you can take a walk. When you reach the foot of Bromo, you have to climb the ladder whose number is about 250 stairs. Arriving at the top of Bromo (2392 m from sea level), you can see the crater of Mount Bromo that emit smoke. You can also see the sea of sand. It's really incredibly rare and unusual that you can see.

How to get there?
The nearest major airport is in Surabaya (Juanda International Airport), three to four hours away by car (and more by bus).

Juanda International airport (Surabaya), serving many International and domestic flight routes, international routes are served directly by several international airlines, such as Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Air Asia, Tiger Airways, Malaysia Airways, and others Airlines. there are direct international flights from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and some other nearby countries. As for the domestic flights, there are flights from almost all major cities in Indonesia.

After arriving in Surabaya, you can use the bus or other public transportation to the city of Malang or Batu city (depending on where you want to stay), but I'd recommend you stay in Batu Town, because is the temperature is cool and then there are have many  touris destination . and also there are many hotels from cheap hotel up to a classy hotel,

If you dont want to bother taking care of it all, like transportation, accommodations, meals, and so on, please contact us.

we will be happy to assist you, from pick up you at  Airport (Juanda International Airport, Surabaya) accompany you to tour in Bromo Mountaint, then until take you back to the Air Port, and of course with a private vehicle. and a friendly tour guide.
